Do you recognize these ingredients? Water, Glycerin, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Gluconolactone, Methylparaben, Sodium Hydroxide, Chlorexidine digluconate. These are the ingredients in KY Jelly. And while every ingredient with a long and non-pronounceable name is not inherently bad for you, there is quite a bit of evidence out there on Parabens causing cancer. So why is KY advertised as the "No. 1 doctor Recommended" Personal Lubricant. Hello, we are using this in and around the most sensitive areas of our bodies.
I have been working on a recipe for an all natural personal lubricant for several months and I want to share it with you.
1 1/2 Tablespoons flax seed
8 ounces Distilled water
2 ounces Organic Aloe Gel
1/2 to 1 Tablespoon Organic Coconut Oil
Place the flax seed in a tea bag and simmer for 25 - 35 minutes. As it cools it creates a nice slippery gel. Discard the flax tea bag. Pour 4-6 ounces of the gel into a small measuring cup and add the Aloe Gel. Melt the Coconut Oil and add it to the measuring cup and mix/shake thoroughly. You can adjust the consistency to your personal preference. This yields about 6 ounces. Store in refrigerator, (but warm to room temperature before use)
