French Green Clay: is cleansing, detoxifying, toning and draws out impurities. Green clay is suitable for normal, oily, and skin with acne.
Moroccan Rhassoul Clay: has cleansing, detoxifying and exfoliating properties as it draws out excess oils and impurities from deep within the skin, highly nourishing due to its high mineral content and anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties. Has been used for centuries by the ancient people of Rome and Egypt. Rhassoul Clay is used by the finest spas around the world. One of my favorites.
White Clay or Kaolin Clay: is one of the more common clays used because of its versatility and use for any skin type, high mineral content and gentle nature. Good for sensitive, dry, and mature skin.
Fullers Earth: A deeply cleansing clay used in masks designed to help absorb oils and help prevent/reduce acne. Can be mixed with another mild clay of your choice.

After selecting your clay, you can mix with a drop or two of carrier oil, water, flower water or aloe and mix until it forms a thick paste, apply a thick layer to the skin and massage into the skin in a circular motion and let set just till the mask starts to set 10-15 minutes, then rinse thoroughly.
I offer a mask using two of my favorites, a combination of Moroccan Rhassoul Clay with Dead Sea silt (mud) and my gentle cleansing cream combined to make a gentle mineral mask scrub it is highly effective in drawing out impurities while exfoliating and leaves skin feeling soft and nourished.
